THE BOARD

Richard Boon, is a chartered financial analyst with over 35 years of investment, portfolio management, corporate finance, private equity and financial modelling experience. He is an experienced non-executive director having served as a non-executive director from 2018 to 2023 of AIM-quoted Dods Group plc (renamed Merit Group Plc). Richard also held a non-executive director role with Local World (an unlisted regional newspaper group) and played a key role in the successful sale of this company to Trinity Mirror in 2015. Richard founded Artefact Partners LLP in 2006, an FCA-authorised investment manager. Prior to founding Artefact Richard's other roles included: Managing Director of Merrill Lynch Investment Management from 2001 to 2004, and an Executive Director of Morgan Stanley Management from 1995 to 2001. Richard’s first role in the United Kingdom from 1993 to 1994 was as Head of Regulatory Policy at The Post Office and as an advisor to its Board when its privatisation was first considered.

Richard began his career in New Zealand in corporate finance working on a range of privatisations and is professionally qualified in both law and accountancy.
